Ringing in the New Year with a Second Term as Carson City School Trustee – Lupe Ramirez

“I am honored to start my second term with the Carson City School Board. As Judge Russell said, “Public service is a responsibility to be taken very seriously.” I am fully committed to this important endeavor. The future of each student in the district matters. I look forward to continuing to learn from my colleagues, and I welcome the new School Trustees to the Board.” ~ Lupe Ramirez

A Special Thank You From Lupe

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all the voters who supported me during this election to retain my School Trustee Seat for District 1. As a member of the School Board, I recognize this is a big responsibility, and I am committed to continue advocating for all the students in the Carson City Schools.

I am deeply moved by the positive response I received from the families in the community. I am especially grateful for those that I had the pleasure of meeting during my door-to-door visits. Thank you for your time and for allowing me to introduce myself. Please know your input was very valuable and rewarding.

This victory was accomplished through a team-effort. I will start off by thanking the Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada for inviting me to participate in the forums. Also, a BIG thank you to the Carson City Democrats Committee for all their support and for inviting me to a variety of events to meet with members of our community. This journey was definitely out of my comfort zone and could not have been achieved without your strong encouragement and support.

I am humbly grateful to the Ormsby County Education Association, and to Professor, Stephanie Arrigotti, for their endorsement. Thank you for believing in me! I am blessed for the opportunity to continue building relationships and putting my best effort to do what’s best for the children in our schools.

Finally, I could not have accomplished this victory without the support from my family and my small group of fully-committed team who showed their strong support by either placing a yard sign at their residence or business, disseminating literature, making phone calls, and/or for their financial contribution or in-kind donation. I especially want to thank my good friend, Josie Martel, sole proprietor from En Vogue Marketing, for donating her expertise to design my website for my campaign and for all her assistance with the publicity. I also want to thank Carson Now and Nevada Appeal for all their hard work during this election.

Muchísimas gracias!! (Thank you all so much!!)
